About the job:

The QHSE Manager is a pivotal member of the Management team and plays a crucial role within the UK Onshore operations. This position is dedicated to driving continuous improvement in quality, health, safety, and environmental standards, effectively minimising risk across the board. 

This vital role will not only improve it but also enhance the company’s quality, environmental and health and safety practices across the UK Onshore sites. By championing a proactive health and safety culture, the QHSE Manager will significantly contribute to the overall success of DWT-UK. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Align the company’s mission, vision, and values with the QHSE strategy.

- Maintain a safe working culture and environment across all locations by implementing safety policies and procedures.

- Serve as the Line Manager and primary contact for onshore QHSE teams, providing support on all QHSE matters.

- Ensure robust systems and procedures are in place for compliance with relevant QHSE legislation.

- Assist Sales and Project Managers in developing tenders and project assurance plans.

- Monitor and evaluate project QHSE activities and effectiveness of the QHSE management system, recommending improvements as necessary.

- Report accidents and incidents promptly, leading investigations and ensuring corrective actions are taken.

- Support accreditation efforts for ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001.

- Coordinate internal and external audits and liaise with certification bodies.

Qualifications:

- NEBOSH Diploma / CDM Certificate or equivalent, with relevant management experience.

- Knowledge of ISO9001 and one or both of ISO14001 and/or ISO45001.

- Experience managing safety culture in heavy engineering.

- Familiarity with current QHSE legislation; Internal Auditor Training is a plus.

- Internal Lead Auditor Qualification.

Essential Attributes:

- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

- Ability to implement quality assurance processes and risk management strategies.

- Proficient in incident investigation and root cause analysis.

- Familiarity with onshore wind construction and safety practices.

- Foster a positive safety culture and manage QHSE teams effectively.

- Make informed decisions in high-risk environments and integrate QHSE objectives with organisational strategies.
