 You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader. Although the majority of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and in other DWT group countries.

Role Clarification

The Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for setting the direction of the technical support and engineering teams. The Engineering Team Lead will lead technical support and engineering teams.

Duties and responsibilities

• Capability of setting an exceptional safety culture across the team, showing by example, to develop a team who are highly engaged with applying safety standards and pursuing improvements.

• Embed and ‘live’ the company’s values

• Drive the local engineering team to proactively seek out solutions to technical issues and identify additional service opportunities.

• Set the strategy of the department and ensure all team members and stakeholders are aligned and follow through.

• Be one of the Wind Turbine Safety Rules Authorising Officers for the Company.

• Oversee the day to day operations of first line Technical Support and Engineering, leading and promoting clear communication lines with third level support

• Monitor internal systems case load to support the Operational Teams with bundling and first time fix opportunities.

• Mentor direct reports, provide growth opportunities and conduct performance reviews.

• Ensure effective communications with all customers and all stakeholders across the business, to guarantee high level customer satisfaction.

• Monitor KPIs to measure team performance and drive process improvement

• Handle Engineering issues with appropriate escalation and resolution through all levels of the organisation.

• Assign and manage projects on all aspects including call related issues and/or technical training needs within the organisation.

• Establish effective processes and practices for knowledge sharing and communication.

• Manage and implement technical support processes and procedures throughout the company.
