• Be diligent, punctual and behave in a responsible manner and in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety legislation relating to the apprentice’s responsibilities as an individual and always promote the company’s best interests.
• Initially the apprentice will develop and learn mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Have an unwavering drive and dedication to achieve and maintain targets set out in the apprenticeship standard with an end goal of achieving WTG technician accreditation.
• Undertake training, attend courses, and carry out such work as may be required, within the relevant time scales and deadlines, in order to achieve the selected standard outcomes specified in the apprentice’s personal training plan.
• For the duration of the apprenticeship, you will gain practical experience, develop theoretical knowledge, whilst obtaining formal qualifications which are recognised and fully transferable with the wind industry.
• You will have a keen sense of achievement and take pride in the work you undertake and produce. The ability to work efficiently within a team is essential.
• On going development to become wind turbine technician covering all aspects of inspection, maintenance and repair of wind turbines
Education / Professional Experience:
• Five National 5/ GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 4/ C or above which must include Mathematics, English and Science.
• Mathematics shall be Level 3 as a minimum.
